Hofeldt Premium Meats is a sole-proprietor company at Chinook in North-Central Montana. Hofeldt Premium Meats is a company that raises sheep and cattle naturally on clean open pastures with grain concentrates fed for a minimal time before processing.

Our livestock is fed at a slow, rate to decrease stress and add natural flavor to the end product. No hormones, additives or preservatives are given to the livestock. Only hay and grains such as barley, oats and corn are fed to the livestock. No commercial fertilizer is used on the farm and no weed sprays are put on any of the crops. If feed is purchased, it is only the raw product.

Our motto is "Bred for Tenderness - Fed for Flavor." We support this by buying only bulls that have strong tenderness traits and a feed ration has been developed to enhance the flavor of the end meat product.
