Chinook Golf Course and Country Club is located north of town and has a nine-hole course, BBQ pits, picnic tables, reception and kitchen facilities, and
the Bear Paw Pro Shop for all your golfing needs.
There is also a walking path located next to Highway 2, a bowling alley and pool table located in the Eagle's Bar, along with numerous bars and
restaurants located on Indiana Street. For the younger crowd there is a youth center located on Indiana Street as well with games and pool. There are
also basketball courts, two tennis courts, and two baseball diamonds scattered around the town.
The Bear Paw Battlefield, a unit of the Nez Perce National Historic Park, is located 16 miles south of Chinook on Cleveland Road. The Bear Paw
Battlefield is the final stop on the Nez Perce National Historic Trail.
Other local attractions include the Bears Paw Mountains to the South of Chinook, offering fishing and camping opportunities with fire/BBQ pits and
picnic tables.
Chinook offers a small, but enjoyable variety of activities such as an
afternoon at the outdoor Chinook City Pool open June through August,
including a wading pool and two diving boards. There are also four
